Speech and Debate Camps for Summer 2010

Although the idea of going to “debate camp” might ring a bit ‘nerdy,’ it would benefit you tremendously in pursuing a legitimate speech/debate career.

The camp we most highly recommend is National Speakers' Forum for all Interp, Original Oratory, Extemp, Congress, and Public Forum. For Lincoln-Douglas, we recommend National Symposium for Debate, National Speakers' Forum (novices), and National Debate Forum (varsity).

Some pointers:

  • Always look at who is teaching at the camp, what kind of facilities they offer, and their focus.  Be sure you go to a camp where you will receive attention on areas you want to fix.
  • Many camps offer discounts for early payment/registration.
  • Some camps offer discount to groups from a single school.  You might want to inquire about discounts you could receive if you and a few friends go to the same camp.
